Capital member Rich Lenkov and income members Kirsten Kaiser Kus and Michael Milstein will present at Claims Litigation Management’s 2020 Workers Compensation and Retail, Restaurant & Hospitality Conference on June 17 & 18. The virtual conference will feature multiple sessions covering a variety of claims resolution topics.

Rich will join Melissa Spinazzola of Amerisure Mutual Insurance, Bradley Gronke of Gallagher Bassett Services and Jennifer Rizk-O’Lynnger of Nyhan, Bambrick, Kinzie & Lowry, P.C. in “A Match Made in Heaven — How to Build a Strong Attorney-Client Relationship.” Their discussion will focus on how adjusters, claims professionals and defense counsel can have the best relationship possible. Select topics include pre-litigation strategies for success, communication and teamwork during the litigation process and aggressive, resolution techniques.

Kirsten will join Lindsay Beach Huffman of Amerisure Mutual Insurance, Beth Burry-Jackson of Sedgwick Claims Management Services and Claire Muselman of Continental Western Group in “Light Duty Works…If You Do.” The panel will cover how employers can monitor an injured workers’ medical treatment and getting employees back to work as efficiently as possible. Select topics include light duty and return to work policies, maximum medical improvement, handling injured workers in rehabilitation and strategies for moving a claim in the right direction.

Michael will moderate a panel titled “5 x 4 — Five Compelling Workers’ Compensation Topics from Four Different Perspectives” with Judge Deborah Baker of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, Kevin Adams of General Mills and Jill Wagner of Disparti Law Group. The panel members will offer their perspectives as an arbitrator, claims manager, petitioner’s attorney and defense attorney on five current workers’ compensation topics, including surveillance, settlement strategies, navigating the court system, psychological claims and COVID-19 related claims.
