On April 24, 2018, the Cook County Board of Commissioners recognized the Illinois Commission on Diversity and Human Relations with a Resolution. The Resolution, in part, recognizes that the Illinois Commission (ICDHR), :
“…has an active Board of Directors consisting of members from the business, education and community sectors; and…the commission has been the voice of diversity and inclusiveness;…that the President of the Cook County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the residents of Cook County, honor the Illinois Commission on Diversity and Human Relations and praise its essential contribution to the health and viability of Cook County.”
At the presentation of the Resolution, the Reverend Clyde Brooks (C.E.O.) spoke, as did Mr. Matt Manning and Joseph M. Eichberger. Mr. Eichberger and Mr. Manning are Directors of the ICDHR. Mr. Eichberger and his law firm, Bryce Downey and Lenkov LLC, also act as pro bono legal counsel to the Illinois Commission.
